Special Event: Levi’s Curve ID Ottawa Launch Party

Thursday, February 17th, 2011

Roadtrip will be hosting the Ottawa launch party for Levi’s new line of custom fit jeans made to fit the curve of a woman’s body. The new line, Levi’s® Curve ID, utilizes a revolutionary fit system based on shape, not size and was created as a result of studying more than 60,000 body scans and listening to women around the world of all shapes and sizes.

Ladies, now there is a new, better way to shop for jeans and finding the perfect fit is based on your shape, not your size. Come visit us at Roadtrip during the launch party and meet Levi’s Curve ID specialists, get measured for your perfect custom fit, have nibblies and a drink with us while you experience Levi’s new revolutionary fit system.

RSVP to this event on our Facebook page (click the Events section on the Left) so we can plan appropriately and have everything run as smoothly as possible at what is sure to be a breakthrough night in women’s denim shopping.

Here are the three custom fits Levi’s found to fit a women’s body based on ‘shape’ and not the traditional ‘size’ method:

Slight Curve – designed to celebrate straight figures
Slight Curve is designed to define a woman’s waist, while accentuating her curves. If jeans usually fit in the hips and thighs but are too tight in the waist, a woman should try the Slight Curve.

Demi Curve – designed to fit even proportions
Demi Curve is designed to flatter a woman’s waist, while smoothing her shape. If jeans usually fit in the waist, but don’t flatter the figure, a woman should try the Demi Curve.

Bold Curve– designed to honor genuine curves
Bold Curve is designed to hug the waist, without gapping or pulling. If jeans usually fit in the hips and thighs, but gap in the back, a woman should try the Bold Curve.

Roadtrip Style in the Sky

Monday, February 14th, 2011

While we love Roadtrippin’, this time of year calls for some vacation destinations that we wouldn’t recommend driving to.  So we thought, with a little help from some of our favourite celebrities, that we could show you how to look cute from take off to landing.

Snapping celebrity photos at the airport is nothing new, but while some of you may opt for velour sweats, these fashion icons sport some of their best everyday wear at the airport. So next time you jet off to LAX or JFK or even Pearson look cute while staying super comfy…just remember you don’t need the sunnies.  No one will randomly be taking your pic and posting it on TMZ.

A great wrap sweater like Blake’s is perfect for lengthly flights. It will keep you cozy and looks super chic. While bringing a blanket on the plane isn’t always ideal, this style of sweater will do the trick just fine.  Check out the Sand Dune Cardi by Kensie at Roadtrip for a similar look.

While Nicole Richie may be one of the most popular style icons these days, she knows how to keep it cool while flying especially if daughter Harlow is on board. Layering is key when flying especially when traveling from somewhere cold to hot or vice verse. Also if you are going to wear jeans, denim with spandex is key. For a look like Nicole’s we encourage Fidelity Midnight Hour Skinnies in Black and a basic cardi from Bobi.

If you business to attend to right after the flight, sometimes you have no choice but to dress up for a flight. Or perhaps you are like Victoria Beckham and always like to look top notch. Either way a trench coat is a great way to go.  If you are wearing jeans or have a dress underneath, a trench coat will help you look very put together. To achieve a look like Victoria’s we recommend the Miss Swiss Trench by Jack.
